First Post! Welcome to My Tech Blog.

After 26 years in software development, I finally decided it was time to create my own nifty tech blog. Yes, you will probably get a bunch of edited ChatGPT responses, but you know how it is these days. I want to share what I have learned and help people to grow in software development. Maybe make some friends along the way.

Why Now?
Most of my career has been hands-on. I’ve built internal tools, worked on design systems, and shipped apps that real people use every day. Lately, my focus has been mobile, especially with react-native. It’s become a powerful part of my toolkit and something I enjoy experimenting with.

I’ve worked on a wide range of published apps and platforms / languages. The sheet music app I developed was written in Xamarin and published on the: App Store, Play Store, Windows 10 Store and Mac App Store. It included features such as a Bluetooth pedal that changes pages and a feature called conductor mode that allowed one device to flip pages for a group of connected devices. The last 8 years or so I have been developing mobile apps around DFS lineup generation and sport betting analysis. I am really looking to grow in the AI space as it pertains to my current mobile development gig in relation to gambling on sports.

And that’s why I’m here. I want a space where I can:

  • Document my process
  • Break down useful techniques
  • Highlight projects I’ve worked on
  • Share ideas I think are worth exploring

What This Blog Is (and Isn’t)
This isn’t a polished brand or a personal branding campaign. It’s not meant to “go viral.” It’s just a clean place to write.

Sometimes it’ll be about performance tips, architecture ideas, or how to wrangle third-party SDKs. Other times it’ll be broader: dev workflows, UI/UX, or even soft skills that matter just as much as the hard ones.

If you’re into that kind of thing, I hope you’ll stick around. I’ve got a few posts already brewing.

Thanks & please come back as I continue to build my blog.
